Doctors at the Leonid Roshal Children's Clinical Center removed a 15-centimeter lung cyst from an eight-month-old boy. This was announced on May 19 by the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region.

The child was sent to the center with a cystic formation in the lung, which compressed the healthy tissue of the organ, preventing its normal growth and development.

"Pediatric surgeons performed thoracoscopic surgery: without an incision, the cyst was carefully removed along with the affected part of the upper lobe of the right lung. The operation lasted about an hour and was successful," the medical institution's page on the VKontakte social network says.

At the moment, the boy has already been discharged home, he feels well.
