In Berlin, 33 police officers were injured during riots staged by fans of the Turkish football team Galatasaray. This was reported on May 19 by the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

"After the Galatasaray football team from Istanbul became the Turkish champion, 2.5 thousand fans gathered in the west of Berlin. The celebration was stopped prematurely due to numerous attacks. 33 police officers were injured," the newspaper writes.

It is noted that football fans threw firecrackers at the police, during the riots, law enforcement officers were forced to use tear gas.

34 people were arrested on the facts of violating public order, assaulting police officers, and causing dangerous bodily harm, the newspaper said.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that police officers detained seven people in the Dutch city of Eindhoven due to riots during the celebration of the victory of the Dutch football club PSV Eindhoven (PSV) in the match of the final round of the Dutch championship. There is no information about the victims of the incident yet.
