It will take several years to restore the face of a boy injured by a dog attack.

It will take several years to fully restore the face of a nine-year-old boy who was attacked by two huskies in Sochi. Valentin, the child's father, told Izvestia about this on May 19.
"Restoration of the nose, upper lip. Long. And then there's rehabilitation, that's the doctors' assumption, they're taking their time, they're doing the right thing, everything is done in stages — for at least five to seven years, then it will all be restored. We will do correction, plastic surgery," the man said.
According to him, the boy is steadfast and psychologically tolerates the incident normally. Psychologists work with him once a week.
Valentin stressed that he expects moral and material compensation from the culprit, as he had to leave his job to accompany his son to a Moscow hospital. The child may be in treatment for several more months.
"Everything should be according to the law. He (the dog owner — Ed.) contacted me. He wrote to me that I consider him an enemy. Of course, I did not approve of the fact that he did not feed the dog, he missed this moment. As a father, of course, I will blame him. As a sane person. <...> There is a law, and everything should be according to the law. If he is guilty, he must be punished," the man added.
An attack by two huskies on a nine-year-old child took place in Sochi on February 26. The dogs were unattended by the owner, they were driven away from the boy by passers-by. On March 4, surgeon Alexey Dikarev announced that the boy needed to have a reconstruction of his mouth, lips, cheeks and nose.
Earlier today it became known that the court sentenced the dog owner Roman Tsygankov to 1 year and 6 months of restriction of freedom. It was established that Tsygankov left the dogs on the territory of the household without feeding, watering or supervision, he himself did not actually live there. As a result, the dogs broke loose and attacked the child.
