A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In the combat zone of the last grouping, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 455 soldiers, a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, a MaxxPro armored vehicle and two M113 armored personnel carriers, all of which were manufactured in the United States, and three more pickup trucks.

In addition, rocket forces, artillery, drone operators and tactical aviation hit ammunition depots and logistics facilities, the infrastructure of military airfields, as well as temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts.

Air defense systems shot down 127 aircraft-type drones and five American JDAM guided aerial bombs.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 1,563 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 283 helicopters, 662 aircraft, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,399 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 2,028 field artillery and mortars, 57,718 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 35,668 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
