Residents of the Eastern Administrative District were warned about adverse weather events. Thunderstorms and strong winds with gusts up to 17 m/s are expected in the afternoon and evening on Monday, May 19.

Emergencies related to power line damage, utility accidents, partial tree felling and damage to poorly reinforced advertising structures are not excluded, which will inevitably lead to traffic jams.

Due to precipitation, flooding of low-lying sections of roads and household territories is possible. Local residents were advised to refrain from long walks, IA EAOmedia writes.

Earlier, on May 18, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, announced that the meteorological summer would arrive in Moscow on time — by the end of May, the air temperature in the capital would rise to +28 degrees. According to him, daytime temperatures in the range of +23...+28 degrees are expected in Central Russia from May 27, and nighttime values will stay above +10. It is from this time that the average daily air temperature will steadily rise above +15.
