Almost 100 perpetrators of wildfires found in the Trans-Baikal Territory

In Transbaikalia, 93 perpetrators of wildfires have been identified since the beginning of the fire season. Of the lower 39 are minors. Such data is reported by the regional Ministry of Nature.

According to the agency, 73 people arranged for the burning of grass, another 20 people are guilty of causing forest fires.

Since the beginning of the season, 216 cases of violations of the rules of staying in forests have been identified, 119 protocols have been drawn up. It was possible to conduct almost 6 thousand patrols of the forest, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

Earlier, on May 2, law enforcement officers detained a suspect in an arson attack that burned down 100 hectares of forest in the Trans-Baikal Territory. It was clarified that the fire occurred near the village of Burgen in the Chita region, where the fire spread to trees due to the burning of dry grass. It was possible to eliminate open gorenje only on the third day.

On May 17, it was reported that in Transbaikalia, nine fires of dry vegetation on a total area of 28.5 hectares were eliminated in just one day. The largest landscape fire was extinguished northeast of the village of Mitrofanovo. The fire covered an area of 15 hectares.
