The court sentenced Roman Tsygankov, the owner of the dogs that attacked a nine-year-old child in Sochi, to 1 year and 6 months of restriction of freedom. This was reported on May 19 in the press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

"After reviewing the case file, the court found Tsygankov guilty and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months of restriction of freedom. The verdict has not entered into legal force," the Telegram channel says.

An attack by two huskies on a nine-year-old child took place in Sochi on February 26. The dogs were unattended by the owner, they were driven away from the boy by passers-by. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence"). After that, on March 4, surgeon Alexey Dikarev told Izvestia that the boy needed to have a reconstruction of his mouth, lips, cheeks and nose. According to him, such operations are carried out in many medical institutions in Russia.
