Forecaster predicted significant warming by the weekend in Moscow

During the week of May 19, Muscovites are expected to experience temperature changes. So, cold and rainy weather is expected at the beginning of the week. However, by the weekend, the air may warm up to +25 degrees. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on May 19.
According to her, rainy and cool weather is expected in Moscow on this day, and Monday will be marked by a southwesterly wind. However, tomorrow it will change to a colder north-westerly one.
"The first half of the week will be, let's say, quite rainy and cool, because the air temperature will be below the climatic norm, about 2-3 degrees. Probably, the coldest day will be Tuesday, because the maximum temperature on Tuesday in the city is only +13...+15 degrees, and in the region — +12 ...+15 degrees," the expert said.
However, starting from Wednesday, there will be less rain, and no precipitation is expected on Thursday. In the following days, Pozdnyakova assured, if there will be rains, they will be short-term, typically summer.
"The air temperature at night on Tuesday is +8...+10 degrees, daytime temperature is +13...+15 degrees. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature is +6...+8 degrees, the maximum is +16...+18 degrees, and we expect a further increase in temperature," the forecaster shared.
On Thursday, the minimum air temperature will be about +10 degrees, daytime temperature — +18...+20.
On Friday, it will be even warmer: the minimum temperature will already exceed the mark of +10 degrees, and the daytime temperature will be +20 degrees, that is, the air temperature will return to the climatic norm. It is possible that by the weekend, the air temperature in some places may reach +25 degrees, and maybe higher, the expert said.
"That is, such a real meteorological summer is coming to us," she added.
At the same time, Pozdnyakova noted that in the last five days of May, a fairly high temperature is also expected, which will correspond to the norm or even slightly exceed it.
Earlier, on May 18, it was reported that the meteorological summer would arrive in Moscow on time. Starting from May 27, daytime temperatures in the range of +23...+28 degrees are expected in Central Russia, while nighttime values will remain above +10. Moreover, calendar summer can start with temperatures up to +30 degrees.
