Expansion of exports to China under the "Made in Russia" brand was discussed at the Russian-Chinese Forum

Within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Forum, which is taking place in Khabarovsk on May 19-20, a business session "Made in Russia. Expanding the horizons of trade and economic partnership." The platform, organized by the Russian Export Center, brought together business representatives, industry experts and government agencies of the two countries. Together, they have developed a number of practical solutions to increase exports of Russian products to China.

Against the background of record trade turnover between Russia and China, which reached 244.81 billion dollars in 2024, the participants discussed key aspects of the development of trade cooperation. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the "Made in Russia" national brand promotion program, which allows Russian companies to enter international markets under a single recognizable brand.

The experts examined in detail the administrative and technical barriers that Russian exporters face when entering the Chinese market. Effective solutions for product certification, trademark registration and customs procedures were presented. A separate section of the discussion was devoted to logistics solutions, including specialized transport projects and document management digitalization.

A significant part of the discussion concerned marketing strategies for promoting Russian goods in China. The participants stressed the importance of adapting products and advertising campaigns to the specifics of the Chinese market, including the use of local digital platforms and social networks. Successful cases of Russian companies that have already gained a foothold in the Chinese market were presented.

Of particular interest was the presentation of the "Made in Russia" festivals as an effective tool for promoting Russian products. These events, which have already been held in several provinces of China, make it possible to directly introduce Chinese consumers to Russian goods and generate steady demand.

"The Chinese consumer is actively reviewing their preferences today, and here Russian products have unique competitive advantages. In the food segment, it is environmental friendliness and naturalness, in the industrial segment it is reliability and innovation. But the key to success lies in understanding cultural differences. Those companies that invest in studying Chinese mentality and consumption habits receive multiple returns. A striking example is the success of the Russian "Made in Russia" festivals in the provinces of China, where residents literally lined up to try natural products from Russia," said Zhou Lijun, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia.

In the final part of the session, the prospects for the development of Russian-Chinese trade cooperation were discussed. The participants noted the significant potential for increasing the supply of Russian products, especially in the segments of the food industry, consumer goods and high-tech products. The importance of an integrated approach combining government support measures with business initiatives was emphasized.

The theme of the Russian-Chinese forum is "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island." Its program includes more than 30 themed venues, cultural and sporting events. More than three thousand applications for participation were received from representatives of business, government authorities and creative industries from Russia and China.

The Russian-Chinese Forum is organized by the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, JSC Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, VEB.RF.
