A circus performer died while performing a trick in Magnitogorsk. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of violation of labor protection requirements. This was reported on May 19 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region.

"An investigator of the Pravoberezhny Interdistrict Investigative Department of the SU IC of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of labor protection requirements that negligently caused the death of a person")," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that on May 17, unidentified persons of the Magnitogorsk State Circus violated labor protection requirements for the preparation of circus performances. They allowed a 22-year-old girl to perform a trick without insurance on the Wheel of Courage device at a height of more than 4 m. As a result, the actress lost her temper and fell into the circus arena.

According to the press service of the department, the victim's death occurred in an ambulance. Currently, investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on March 16, gymnast Elizaveta Chumakova fell from a great height during a performance at the Novosibirsk Circus. It was reported that the athlete broke down during the performance of an element in the aerial number "Coronation".
