Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the take-off point of the Baba-Yaga type UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Military personnel of the separate reconnaissance battalion of the 20th Guards Combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces using the Sobolyatnik radar station destroyed the take-off point of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Baba-Yaga type of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday, May 19.

"Our calculation works at a great distance — up to 20 km. Accordingly, we see the entire movement of both ours and the enemy. He ("The Sable Man". — Ed.) was created to identify military equipment and, accordingly, infantry. <...> We find the target, give the exact X and Y coordinates. Accordingly, a bird immediately rises <...> it monitors whether there is equipment there or not. We also have people and assault groups in position, and they are watching from binoculars directly closer to this equipment and confirming it," said the commander of the reconnaissance platoon with the call sign Talisman.

The footage provided by the defense ministry shows that the reconnaissance group is going on a "hunt", and its "prey" is enemy targets. Drone crews and the Sobolyatnik radar from the rear area secretly marched closer to the front line to complete a combat mission.

The radar is deployed in just five minutes. And she immediately begins to "track down" the target. Moreover, not one, but several dozen objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fall into her field of vision, including even camouflaged infantry and equipment.

So, the calculation of the Sobolyatnik radar reconnaissance station recorded the landing of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the Russian military did not strike immediately, waiting for the accumulation of targets. And after a while, a mark with a group of infantry appeared in the same place. The scouts transmitted the coordinates to the command post for further aerial reconnaissance.

Then, a take-off point with a Baba Yaga-type UAV prepared for launch was discovered from the air. Soon it was destroyed by the release of a quadrocopter of Russian intelligence officers.

The battery's military personnel destroy dozens of targets every day, including enemy locations, equipment, and boats.

Earlier, on May 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of objective monitoring of the destruction of the AFU robotic platform by an FPV drone of the Zapad group of forces in the area of the SVO in the Krasnolimansk direction. The target was destroyed by an accurate hit.
