Military personnel of the Vostok group of forces told about the liberation of Bogatyr village

Soldiers of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the operation to liberate the village of Bogatyr in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The relevant footage was distributed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Sunday, May 19.

The platoon commander with the call sign Leo noted that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) did not expect the assertiveness and speed of the Russian attack aircraft. As a result, the military groups of troops "Vostok" overcame multiple enemy obstacles and successfully cleared all the houses of the settlement. The platoon commander stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are only capable of using drones, and not for contact combat.

A machine gunner with the call sign Mishan confirmed this, noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces avoid small-arms collisions in close combat. According to him, as soon as the attack aircraft approach the positions of the Ukrainian militants, most of them flee, leaving behind all weapons, including foreign-made military equipment.

"The big difficulty lies in the fact that there are traps, tripwires, but the main thing is FPV drones and all the other evil spirits that fly in the sky. We consolidated in one place, then moved a little further, further away — so gradually everything comes under our leadership. Someone is resisting. There are also those who run. They even run, throwing down their weapons," said a soldier with the call sign Pooh.

And the grenade launcher operator reported that the Ukrainian militants were on the line of contact unprepared, as if they had been "picked up from the streets" with a training duration of no more than three days. The Russian military came to this conclusion due to the "chaotic" firing of the enemy.

The battery's military personnel destroy dozens of targets every day, including enemy locations, equipment, and boats.

The liberation of the Bogatyr settlement became known earlier that day. The Russian Defense Ministry clarified that the Russian army also hit the manpower and equipment of the mechanized brigade in the areas of three settlements located in the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk regions and in the DPR.
