In Kalmykia, seven people died in a head-on collision between a minibus and a truck.

In the Yustinsky district of Kalmykia, a minibus collided with a truck, killing seven people and injuring 11 others. This was announced on Monday, May 19, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.

"On the territory of the Yustinsky district (on the 1211th km of the FAD R-22 Moscow - Tambov – Volgograd – Astrakhan) near the village of Tsagan Aman, a head–on collision occurred between a passenger minibus and a truck," the department said in a Telegram channel message.

There were at least 21 people in the minibus. The injured were hospitalized in the central regional hospital of the Yustinsky district.

On May 17, a truck collided with an ambulance in the Obluchensky district of the Eastern Administrative District, resulting in the death of a nurse, two more people — an ambulance driver and a paramedic — were injured. The injured ambulance staff were hospitalized. The paramedic is in the intensive care unit, the ambulance driver's condition is assessed as stable.
