"As a result of operational search measures, three men were detained by operatives of the Khabarovsk transport police on the stage of the Volochaevka-2 station while stealing diesel fuel from a diesel locomotive," the department said in a Telegram channel.

During the interrogation, police officers established that the suspects had driven a truck with special equipment to the fuel tank while parking the locomotive, inserted a hose into the gas tank and began pumping fuel.

Investigators have opened a criminal case against the suspects on the fact of preparation for a crime and theft.
