One person was injured in a fire in a five-story house near Sakhalin
In the city of Okha, Sakhalin Region, on May 18, a fire broke out in a five-story apartment building, injuring one person. This was reported in the regional Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"The message about the fire in the apartment of a five-storey building on Dzerzhinsky Street was received at 10:05 (local time, 02:05 Moscow time). <...> One person was injured," the department said in a Telegram statement.
Shortly after, six employees and two pieces of equipment of the Russian Emergencies Ministry extinguished the fire on an area of 2 square meters. m.
Earlier that day in Orel, firefighters extinguished a fire in a nine-story building, from which at least 32 people were evacuated. According to the updated information, 31 specialists and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in the elimination of the fire.
