The Rosselkhoznadzor announced the need to block dangerous goods at the cash desks.

Automatic blocking of dangerous goods at cash desks should be introduced in Russia. This was stated in an exclusive interview with Izvestia by the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Sergey Dankvert, when asked why such measures have not yet been taken.
"We supported the introduction of labeling because it was assumed that the next step would be the automatic blocking of counterfeit goods at the cash registers, consumers would know the manufacturers whose products would be blocked. To do this, a number of changes should be made to the legislation, but so far this has not been done," the head of the service explained.
According to him, the legislation should also specify at whose expense the blocked products will be seized, whether they will be destroyed. In the West, for example, all this has already been accepted and is working, he added, noting that companies that produce counterfeit goods are fully responsible for everything that happens to these products.
"We have already made all our proposals a long time ago. The introduction of blocking unsafe goods at the cash registers is what Rospotrebnadzor should do first of all today. Because otherwise it undermines consumer confidence.… This should have been done as soon as the labeling of the first products began," Sergey Dankvert emphasized.
