NYT learned about Biden's progressive prostate cancer

Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. This was reported on Sunday, May 18, by the New York Times (NYT), referring to a representative of the politician.
"Although this is a more aggressive form of the disease, cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which makes it possible to treat it effectively," the source told the publication.
As indicated in the newspaper, the corresponding diagnosis was made after Biden's medical examination at the last allotment, which he underwent "in connection with the discovery of a node in the prostate gland" due to symptoms when urinating.
The former head of state's cancer was detected with bone metastases and was assessed on the Gleason scale on a 9-point scale, group 5. Currently, the politician's family and he are discussing possible treatment options with doctors.
The 82-year—old Biden is the oldest president in the history of the United States, and his health status regularly becomes a cause for discussion and concern among citizens.
