Bucharest Mayor leads in the second round of the Romanian presidential election according to exit polls

Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan is leading in the second round of the Romanian presidential election according to exit polls. This was reported on May 18 by the Romanian broadcaster Mediafax.

Thus, according to a survey conducted by the CURS Center for Urban and Regional Sociology, Dan won 54.9% of the vote, while George Simion, an oppositionist from the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) party, won 45.1%.
