In the Kursk region, the roof of an unfinished school caught fire during an APU strike.

In the village of Samoyardovo, Bolshesoldatsky district, Kursk region, when a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fell, the roof of an unfinished school caught fire. This was announced on May 18 by the acting head of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

"Today, as a result of a drone crash in the village of Samoyardovo, Bolshesoldatsky district, the roof of a school that was under construction caught fire...> The fire has been extinguished," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

There were no casualties in the incident, and serious consequences were also avoided. The acting governor added that the school will definitely be completed as soon as the situation in the region allows.

Earlier in the day, a drone attacked a civilian car in the Valuysky district of the Belgorod region. A man was injured in the attack and was taken to a regional hospital.
