Keyboardist Dmitry Ivanov, who died from the effects of a stroke, was one of the best in his profession. This opinion was expressed by Yuri Melisov, the guitarist of the band "Epidemic", in an interview with Izvestia on May 18.

"Dima joined us at the Epidemic in 2006, where he worked for eight years. <...> He is, of course, a great professional, which is worth his track record. He later played with Maxim, and with Stas Mikhailov, and in the Leningrad band, he is one of the best keyboardists in the country, I simply have no doubt about it," he said.

Melisov said that he met Ivanov in 2002. On weekends, they played soccer and spent time together.

"I practically brought him into the musical crowd, even though he was already a good keyboard player back then," the guitarist admitted.

Ivanov's death became known earlier on May 18. At the end of April, the musician suffered a massive stroke, as a result of which he fell into a coma. Ivanov spent 20 days in intensive care and died without regaining consciousness.
