The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has organized an investigation into reports of mass brawls among teenagers in Makhachkala. The relevant information was published on May 18 on the agency's website.

"It is reported on social media that teenagers in the city of Makhachkala are forming groups in order to commit illegal activities, including organizing mass brawls," the statement said.

It is specified that the investigators have organized a procedural check on this fact.

Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed Dmitry Belyaev, head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, to report on the progress of the inspection and the established circumstances of the incident to him personally, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation emphasized.

Earlier, on April 30, in Saratov, during the National Youth Hockey League (NMHL) playoff match between the Saratov club Kristall and Granit near Moscow, a mass brawl between hockey players and fans took place.
