Fico expressed a desire to visit Moscow on the 90th anniversary of the Victory

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed a desire to visit Moscow again to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the celebration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). He made the corresponding statement on May 18 in the program "In Politics" on the air of the TA-3 TV channel.
"I would have gone to Moscow to participate in the celebrations of the Victory over fascism, and if I had received an invitation to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the end of World War II," he said.
Fico also stressed that his talks in Moscow with the leaders of Russia, China, Vietnam and Brazil during a trip to celebrate Victory Day were not symbolic at all — they discussed a serious agenda.
On May 16, the Slovak Prime Minister said that his opponents had neither political nor legal grounds to criticize his visit to Moscow to attend events marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. He also stressed that he had held important talks during his trip to Russia. Prior to that, on May 10, Fico reported that the trip to Moscow was extremely successful and brought Slovakia diplomatic recognition at a high international level.
In an interview with the Slovak edition of Plus JEDEN on May 14, Fico noted that all Slovak ministers would like to go with him to Moscow to celebrate Victory Day. He clarified that all members of the country's government knew about his trip and no one opposed it.
