The fuel tank of the plane flying over Chelyabinsk has become disconnected.


An empty spare fuel tank has been disconnected from a training aircraft flying over Chelyabinsk. This was announced on May 18 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Chelyabinsk region.
The incident was recorded after the 112 system received a message about the fall of fragments of the aircraft. The Ministry of Emergency Situations forces were sent to the scene of the alleged incident.
"According to the updated information, an empty spare fuel tank was disconnected from the passing aircraft," the message adds.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the tank of the aircraft was found in the forest area of Bora. There was no fire, there were no casualties.
On May 17, an Airbus A-320 operated by S7 Airlines, flying from Gorno-Altaysk to Moscow, landed in Novosibirsk. It was clarified that there were over 150 passengers on board the aircraft. The aircraft is currently suspended from flights. A backup flight has been allocated for the flight.
