Dallas defeated Winnipeg in overtime and advanced to the NHL Playoff semifinals.


The Dallas Stars hockey Club defeated the Winnipeg Jets in overtime of the sixth game of the second round of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs on Sunday, May 18, and secured a place in the semifinals.
The match took place at the American Airlines Center stadium in Dallas and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the hosts. Striker Sam Steele and defender Thomas Harley brought victory to the club.
As part of HC Winnipeg, striker Mark Scheifli scored the only goal.
Dallas won a series of matches with a score of 4-2 and became a semi-finalist of the Stanley Cup. In the next match, the team will face the Edmonton Oilers on the ice.
On May 8, Dallas Hockey forward Mikko Rantanen became the first player in 40 years in the NHL to score a hat trick in two consecutive playoff games. He became the third player in the history of the Stanley Cup to do so.
