The weather forecaster announced the arrival of summer in Moscow on time

Meteorological summer will arrive in Moscow on time — by the end of May, the air temperature in the capital will rise to +28 degrees. This was announced on May 18 by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.

According to him, daytime temperatures in the range of +23...+28 degrees are expected in Central Russia from May 27, and nighttime values will stay above +10. It is from this time that the average daily air temperature will steadily rise above +15.

"The change of the climatic seasons will occur on time, and summer will arrive on time," Tishkovets wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also recalled that according to long-term observations, the "climatic" summer in Moscow usually begins on May 26. Thus, this year the coincidence of climatic and meteorological summers will occur almost simultaneously.

The weather forecaster added that the calendar summer may start with temperatures up to +30 degrees.

Earlier, on May 2, Tishkovets, in an interview with Izvestia, urged not to count on high temperatures in May, since the positive temperature deviation has already been interrupted. According to him, the average monthly air temperature in most of the Russian Plain will hardly correspond to the climatic norm. Nevertheless, by the end of the month, spring will begin large-scale preparations for the meteorological summer, the forecaster emphasized.
