A dead Amur tiger was found in Primorye in Emar Bay.


In Primorsky Krai, an Amur tiger was found dead in Emar Bay. This was reported on May 18 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the region.
"It has been established that on May 18, 2025, an Amur tiger was found in the waters of Emar Bay without signs of life," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
According to the prosecutor's office, the establishment of all the circumstances of the incident, including the causes of the death of the animal, and the results of the inspection are being monitored by the supervisory authority.
The Ministry of Forestry of Primorye added that at the moment, specialists are organizing events to find and remove the predator's body from the water. This procedure is necessary for subsequent examinations to determine the causes of death.
On March 21, it was reported that a resident of Primorye would stand trial for shooting an Amur tiger. A man born in 1982 discovered a male Amur tiger listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation on the territory of the hunting grounds of the Alchan Society of hunters and fishermen, shot him twice with a long-barreled rifled carbine, butchered the animal's body, took it outside the hunting grounds and hid its parts in a forest area.
