The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated a fire in a nine-storey house in Orel

Firefighters extinguished a fire in a nine-story building, from which at least 32 people were evacuated. This was announced on Sunday, May 18, by the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated the fire in the apartment and on the balconies. The apartment on the seventh floor, where the fire started, as well as the balconies of the seventh, eighth and ninth floors were damaged by the fire," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

According to the updated information, 31 specialists and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

A fire in a multi-storey building in Orel, from which rescuers rescued 11 people, became known earlier that day. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the firefighters, people were rescued, including with the help of a lift truck.
