The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 was the singer from Austria Johannes Pitch.

Austrian singer Johannes Pitch won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on Sunday, May 18 with the song Wasted Love, scoring 436 points. This was reported by the BBC Broadcasting Corporation.

"This is about my personal experience of unrequited love. It's like driving down a one—way street," Pitch said of his composition.

Yuval Raphael from Israel took the second place with the ballad New Day Will Rise, while Tommy Cash from Estonia took the third place with the song Espresso Macchiato.

Austria has won a music competition for the first time since 2014. In the entire history of the song contest, the country has won first place only three times.

A total of 37 countries participated in Eurovision 2025. Russia has been suspended from participation since 2022, according to the decision of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

In 2024, Swiss singer Nemo won the Eurovision 2024 song contest with 591 points. Thus, the singer made his country the host of the competition. The fifth place was taken by Israeli singer Eden Golan (375), the fourth by French singer Slimane (445), the third by Ukrainian duo Alena Alena and Jerry Hale (453), the second by Croatian singer Marko Purisic, known as Baby Lasagna (547).
