In Orel, a fire broke out in an apartment in a nine-story residential building, from which firefighters rescued 11 people. This was announced on Sunday, May 18, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"An apartment on the seventh floor in a nine-storey residential building was on fire. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of firefighters, 11 people were rescued, including with the help of a lift truck," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that at least 32 people were evacuated. The balconies of the seventh, eighth and ninth floors were damaged by the fire.

At the moment, the fire is localized. More than 30 people and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

In the town of Seltso, Bryansk region, a house caught fire on the night of May 17, killing two men and a woman. Firefighters found the bodies of 57-year-old and 63-year-old men and a 65-year-old woman while dismantling burnt structures. The fire destroyed the roof of the house and damaged all property.
