Sergeant Chernovalov restored the operation of the repeater under the artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Sergeant Eduard Chernovalov organized communication between the command post and the assault units of the Armed Forces of Russia. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Sunday, May 18, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) conducted mortar fire on Russian positions, as a result, the repeater was damaged. Chernovalov, realizing that communication needed to be restored as soon as possible, moved to the site of the damage, despite the ongoing shelling from the enemy and attacks by FPV drones. After reaching the repeater, the serviceman successfully repaired it and promptly restored communication.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the brave and decisive actions of Corporal Vasily Vidishev, who was at an observation post at the moment when the positions of Russian troops were attacked by enemy kamikaze drones.

Vidishev ordered the soldiers to open fire on the drones. The corporal himself eliminated several drones. When one of them did not detonate in the air, but fell on the territory of the Russian positions, Vidishev reached the drone and personally defused the explosive device.

Despite the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, peaceful life is gradually returning to the city.

Earlier, on May 17, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Lieutenant Rustam Gilmiyarov commanded an assault group of the Russian Armed Forces and was tasked with taking control of the AFU stronghold.
