In southwestern Finland, five people were killed as a result of the collision and crash of two helicopters taking off from Tallinn. This was reported on April 17 by the Yle broadcaster with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Estonia.

"Five people were killed in a helicopter crash near Eura Airport on Saturday," the Finnish police said in a statement.

According to Yle, the Estonian Foreign Ministry confirmed that all the people on board the helicopters were killed. The identities of the victims are being clarified.

The Finnish Ministry of Defense stressed that the incident was not related to military equipment or facilities in the country.

It is reported that one of the helicopters caught fire during the fall. The location of the accident was determined by smoke monitoring.

Rescuers and investigators are working at the scene, the material says.

Earlier, on May 3, a Robinson R44 II helicopter crashed in the city of Suzhou in eastern China. One person who was on the ground at the time of the crash was killed, four were injured and were hospitalized. The incident is under investigation.
