The Moscow Library service on the portal mos.ru Since its launch in 2021, almost 1.7 million people have visited, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

With its help, citizens search for and book books, get acquainted with thematic collections, receive personal recommendations from artificial intelligence and learn about upcoming events in city libraries.

"This is a convenient and useful service that has become familiar to many Muscovites. Last year, 646,000 people took advantage of its opportunities, three times more than in the first year of operation," Sergunina said.

During the service's operation, Muscovites have used it to book over 800,000 books of various genres, from memoirs and biographies of historical figures to science fiction. The most sought—after works of Russian classics among Muscovites are Leo Tolstoy, Mikhail Bulgakov, Maxim Gorky, and Ivan Goncharov.

The main functions of the service are located in the "My orders", "Reading now" and "Favorites" sections. There, you can mark your favorite publication online and extend the shelf life. You can also select a suitable library on the interactive map. And the neural network offers readers individual selections based on their preferences.

As noted in the Moscow Department of Information Technology, in order to book and extend the shelf life of the book, readers will need a standard or full account on mos.ru and a single reader's ticket. It can be arranged online or in any city library.
