FC Orenburg lost to Krasnodar and was eliminated from the RPL

Football club (FC) Orenburg lost to Krasnodar with a score of 1:2 in the match of the 29th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) and left the top division. The meeting took place on May 17 at Orenburg's home stadium.

Striker John Cordoba and defender Lucas Olasa scored goals for the winning team. The only goal of the Orenburg team was scored by forward Brian Mansilla.

Following the meeting, Orenburg, which scored 19 points and ranked 15th in the standings, lost its chance to stay in the RPL. The team will spend the next season in the First League.

Krasnodar continues to occupy the first place with 64 points in one round until the end of the championship.

In the final match of the season, Orenburg will play away against Rubin Kazan. Krasnodar will host Dynamo Moscow at home.

Earlier, on May 11, Fakel Voronezh lost to Lokomotiv Moscow with a score of 1:0 and was eliminated from the RPL. Lokomotiv is in sixth place in the RPL standings with 49 points.
