A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a multi-storey building on Leningradsky Prospekt in Moscow. This was reported on May 17 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the city.

"A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a multi-storey building on Leningradsky Prospekt. Fire and rescue units are working at the site," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The fire is being extinguished by 32 employees and 9 pieces of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the ministry, the fire has been localized at the moment. Firefighters rescued six people from the fire, one of them a child.


In the town of Seltso, Bryansk region, a house caught fire on the night of May 17, killing two men and a woman. Firefighters found the bodies of 57-year-old and 63-year-old men and a 65-year-old woman while dismantling burnt structures. The fire destroyed the roof of the house and damaged all property.
