Erdogan caught Macron by the finger at the summit in Albania

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not allow his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to pat himself familiarly on the shoulder during the summit of the European Political Community in Albania, holding his fingers in his hand. Turkish journalist Ibrahim Haskologlu drew attention to this on May 17.
"After Macron put his hand on Erdogan's hand, the Turkish president did not let go of the French leader's finger," Haskologlu wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The episode was recorded by video cameras. Macron approached the Turkish leader sitting at the table, started a conversation with him, and put his hand on his arm. However, Erdogan immediately withdrew his hand, while holding two of Macron's fingers, one of which he subsequently released. The French president continued the conversation while Erdogan, smiling, held his finger.
Earlier, in December, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk sneered at Macron's long handshakes with US President Donald Trump. The head of the Polish government posted a photo on social media in which he shakes hands with the French president and wrote that he has problems shaking hands with the Donald.
