The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of the liberation of Alexandropol in the DPR

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Saturday, May 17, published footage of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Russia in the liberation of the settlement of Alexandropol in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

The video captures the work of the military of the 242nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 20th Division of the eighth army. They participated in the liberation operation as part of the Center group of forces.

The footage shows the dumping of ammunition on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as the operation of a tank of the Russian army and the military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Russian military personnel liberated Alexandropol earlier that day. As a result of the fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 490 militants, a tank, 14 vehicles, an artillery piece, an ammunition depot, and two armored vehicles, including a Turkish-made Kirpi. Fighters of the Russian Armed Forces also hit four mechanized assault brigades, marine brigades and brigades of the National Guard of the Ukrainian army in five settlements of the DPR.
