A criminal case has been opened into an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on an electrical substation in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region. This was reported on May 17 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"A criminal case has been opened in connection with an attack by Ukrainian militants on an electrical substation in Rylsk, Kursk region," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

It is specified that the criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").

On May 16, it was reported that a Ukrainian FPV drone damaged a transformer at an electrical substation in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region, and the village was left without electricity. It was clarified that the damage to the transformer is minor.
