As part of the 26th military aid package, the Danish Ministry of Defense will provide Ukraine with 4.2 billion crowns (about $630 million) for artillery installations and shells. This was announced on May 17 by the country's Defense Ministry.

"The 26th donation package includes military support in the amount of about 4.2 billion crowns in the period 2025-2028 and is funded as part of military support under the Ukraine Fund and income reimbursement from the European Peace Fund (EPF)," the publication says on the agency's website.

It is specified that the military assistance included artillery regiments, ammunition under the Czech initiative, fighter aircraft equipment, as well as increased training opportunities. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stressed that the state has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict and will continue to provide support in the coming years.

On May 9, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that Denmark, France and Italy would purchase weapons for Kiev worth €1 billion. He recalled that on that day, the EU announced its intention to allocate almost €1.9 billion from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation for military support of the Kiev regime.
