A magnitude 5.9 earthquake was recorded in Peru.


Seismologists have recorded an earthquake in Peru with a magnitude of 5.9. This was announced on May 17 by the Helmholtz Center for Geoscience (GFZ).
It is specified that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. Its epicenter is located in the central part of the country, in the south of the Ayacucho region.
There is no information about casualties or damage.
On May 15, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in the Turkish province of Konya and was felt in Ankara. Fluctuations were recorded at 15:46 in the Kullu area, seismic activity occurred at a depth of 18.73 km.
