Actor Gleb Kalyuzhny will serve in the army. This was announced on May 17 by the agent of the Russian actor Grigory Sukhov.

"Gleb departs on May 27 to his place of military service. <...> He does not know the branch of the armed forces yet, because it is impossible to know, since the determination is being made at the assembly point," he explained.

The agent stressed that Kalyuzhny is ready to go to any branch of the armed forces.

"They [the members of the draft board] tell him: "You're in good health, and you can join the special forces, and you can join the paratroopers." He says, "Great, I'll be glad to serve the motherland, where I'll be useful," Sukhov quoted the actor as saying.

It is clarified that there was a misunderstanding between the military enlistment offices, the actor was registered in Khimki, received a summons there, and was summoned to Moscow, where he was registered until the age of 14.

Sukhov also noted that Kalyuzhny was impressed by the shooting in the movie "The Kid", a war drama in which a rapper from Donetsk volunteers to save his mother.

Earlier, on March 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree providing for conscription of Russian citizens aged 18 to 30 years from April 1 to July 15. It is noted that 160 thousand Russians are planned to be drafted.
