Military investigators have opened a criminal case into the wounding of a civilian as a result of the shelling by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of a parking lot in the village of Budishche, Kursk region. This was announced on May 17 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
"On May 4 of this year, Ukrainian militants purposefully attacked with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) a parking lot in the village of Budishche, where a civilian was staying at that moment," said Svetlana Petrenko, an official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The victim told investigators that when she got out of the car, she noticed two drones above her. It was dropped from one of them. She lost consciousness after the explosion.
The actions of the Ukrainian military are qualified by Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). All the persons involved are being identified in order to bring them to criminal responsibility.
The day before, a criminal case was opened against the residents of the Tyazhino settlement in the Kursk region on the fact of a strike by the AFU militants. Two people were injured in the attack, and a car was also significantly damaged.
