In the Ukrainian city of Zastavna in the Chernivtsi region, schismatics from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) seized the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This was announced on May 17 by the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ).

"A crowd of OCU activists, together with the police, sweeps the parishioners of the UOC off the road. A cleric of the OCU personally breaks down the doors of the temple. It's very hard to look at all this. Is this really what Christianity is called in Ukraine right now?" they wrote on the UOJ Telegram channel.

It is specified that several old men who were on the territory of the temple were knocked to the ground by the raiders. Supporters of the OCU used a grinder to cut the locks on the doors. The police did not interfere with the attackers' actions.

In the city of Krasilov, Khmelnytskyi region, schismatics from the OCU, with the assistance of the police, seized the Resurrection Church belonging to the canonical UOC. At about eight o'clock in the morning, representatives of the OCU, including clerics and their escorts, broke down the doors of the temple. One of the UOC priests, who tried to prevent the seizure, was forcibly knocked to the floor and deprived of his phone, which he was filming with.
