The S7 Airlines Airbus A-320 aircraft, flying from Gorno-Altaysk to Moscow, landed in Novosibirsk. This was announced on May 17 by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"According to preliminary data, today at about 10 a.m. local time (06:00 Moscow time), during a flight en route Gorno-Altaysk – Moscow (Domodedovo), the aircraft <...> made an unplanned landing at A.I. Pokryshkin Tolmachevo International Airport for a technical reason," the prosecutor's office wrote on its Telegram channel..

It is specified that there were over 150 passengers on board the aircraft. The aircraft is currently suspended from flights. A backup flight has been allocated for the flight.

The Novosibirsk Transport Prosecutor's Office organized supervisory measures for the implementation of flight safety legislation and took control of the observance of passengers' rights.

On May 9, an Azur Air Boeing-752 aircraft, which was flying from Mineralnye Vody to Antalya, returned to the departure airport due to a malfunction of one of the engines. There were over 230 passengers on board, 41 of them children. The aircraft is currently suspended from flights.
