North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un, during a visit to the aviation regiment of the 1st Guards Military Air Division of the Korean People's Army (KPA), where he led the combat exercises of the Air Force's attack and air defense units, including against drones, called on the army to be on full alert. This was reported on Saturday, May 17, by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"On May 15, Kim Jong-un visited the aviation regiment of the 1st Guards Military Air Division of the Korean People's Army, where he led combat exercises of the Air Force air defense and air attack units," the agency reports.

During the visit, Kim Jong-un said that the army should be "in full combat readiness." According to him, the outcome of the war is determined primarily on the field of military exercises.

The exercises were aimed at improving skills in detecting, tracking and destroying cruise missiles and kamikaze attack drones attacking from various directions. In addition, a new gliding guided aerial bomb was tested.

Earlier, KCNA reported that on April 29, Kim Jong-un visited a team of workers involved in the creation of a new destroyer for the country's navy, the Choe Hyun. It is specified that the North Korean leader emphasized the trust that the ruling party has in the staff of the Nampho Shipyard.
