The administration of US President Donald Trump will release a previously unpublished audio recording of an interview between former American leader Joe Biden and Special Prosecutor Robert Hur next week. This was reported on May 16 by The New York Times (NYT), citing sources.

"As early as next week, the Trump administration plans to publish audio recordings of the interview," the publication says.

They clarified that the recording had not been published earlier, as the Democrats took advantage of the "privileges of the executive branch" and threatened the prosecutors with termination of cooperation.

The newspaper noted that in a four-minute interview fragment posted on the evening of May 16, Biden speaks softly and stammers while trying to remember important dates.

Back on May 8, the Politico newspaper informed about the intention of the current administration to publish an audio recording of an interview with the former US president, after which doubts arose about the mental health of the politician. The prosecutor investigated Biden's possession of classified documents and raised the issue of his mental state.
