The calculation of the howitzer D-30 of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed the control point of the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The crew of the 122-mm howitzer D-30 of the 18th combined arms army of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed the control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian formations on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday, May 17, showed footage of the gunners' combat work in the area of the special military operation.

The location of the control center in one of the abandoned houses, where the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were also located, was established using aerial reconnaissance. The drone operator transmitted the coordinates of the target to the gunners, and the crew moved to the gun. The howitzer is carefully camouflaged and invisible to the Ukrainian formations for the time being, while firing is not required. After masking the cannon and aiming the howitzer at a given point, the Russian military eliminated the command post with three volleys, along with the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Now the target is mostly hidden infantry, which is based in the village on the other side of the Dnieper. There are boats on which the enemy is trying to cross to our side. Also wheeled and tracked vehicles. All kinds of goals absolutely. It doesn't matter to us, as long as they are within range of our weapons. Our intelligence using UAVs detects very quickly, transmits the coordinates to us, and we work out. That is, the enemy feels restless there, we don't give him a break," said a senior battery officer with the call sign Penza.

After completing the combat mission, the Russian military quickly disguised the howitzer and returned to the shelter.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense reported that the crews of attack aircraft on Su-25 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) destroyed the personnel and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of responsibility of the South group of forces.
