A nurse was killed in an accident involving an ambulance in the Eastern Administrative District

In the Obluchensky district of the Eastern Administrative District, a truck collided with an ambulance, resulting in the death of a nurse, two more people — an ambulance driver and a paramedic — were injured. This was announced on Saturday, May 17, by the regional health department.

"Last night (May 16. — Ed.) there was an accident in the EAO. An ambulance, which was rushing to a call to a patient, collided with a heavy truck," the department said in a Telegram post.

According to the Department of Health, the woman died on the spot. The injured ambulance staff were hospitalized. The paramedic is in the intensive care unit, the ambulance driver's condition is assessed as stable.

The Telegram channel of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that a fire had occurred when two vehicles collided.

"Currently, the police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident," the statement says.
