- Calculations of the Molniya UAV destroyed the support and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Calculations of the Molniya-1 and Molniya-2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces in the Kharkov direction in the area of the special military operation destroyed a platoon strongpoint, military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the combat work of Russian military personnel on Saturday, May 17.
Military personnel attach TM-62 anti-tank mines to drones to eliminate the enemy's stronghold. At the same time, the type of fuse on the mine itself is changed so that the device can detonate at the right moment, the UAV operator with the call sign Boomer explained. He himself knows how to create such "Lightning bolts" modified with explosive devices.
According to the soldier, he worked as a cook before his military service.
"I've been working as a cook in the kitchen for eight years, and in industrial mountaineering for the last eight or nine years. After the incidents in Kursk, after a couple of reports, I realized that I needed to go help the guys. He seems like a smart guy, and his hands are growing out of nowhere. I think I'll be useful in some way. I've been here for six months," Boomer shared.
As explained in the Ministry of Defense, operators of aircraft-type drones, which include Molniya, must have high skill, special skills and knowledge in aerodynamics. Military personnel operating such UAVs have hundreds of flight hours.
"It's working quite normally at the front. We use the technique of audacity, arrogance. We are working right under the nose of the enemy, doing things that he does not expect," said the commander of the UAV unit with the call sign Ronin.
Earlier, on May 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Corporal Pavel Krylov, during reconnaissance using a drone, noticed a Ukrainian hexocopter Baba Yaga approaching Russian positions. Skillfully maneuvering the drone, Krylov bypassed the enemy drone and launched an attack from behind. The hexocopter lost control and crashed far from the Russian positions.
