A Ukrainian FPV drone damaged a transformer at an electrical substation in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region, and the village was left without electricity. This was announced on May 16 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

"Due to the accident, electricity was cut off in the city and in the village councils, as well as in the villages of Korenevo and Glushkovo, which are powered by the Rila substation," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, the damage to the transformer is minor. Emergency crews went to the scene of the emergency, the authorities expect that the power supply will be restored in the near future.

A day earlier, Khinstein reported that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) hit Rylsk. As a result, the roof and glazing of the boiler room, as well as the fencing of the sports field, were slightly damaged. No one was injured.
