In Uzbekistan, seven people were injured in an ammonia leak at a factory


As a result of an ammonia leak at a plant in the city of Kokand in Uzbekistan, seven people were injured. This was reported on May 16 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the country.
According to the agency, a small ammonia spill was recorded during the transshipment of a substance from a railway tank into a special container.
"Seven citizens applied to the hospital. They underwent a medical examination and were released home, as their condition was stable," the department's Telegram channel noted.
It is specified that the consequences of the ammonia spill have been eliminated.
Earlier, on April 3, a local leak occurred at the ammonia evaporation plant in the Balakovo branch of JSC Apatit in the Saratov region, which was eliminated. After the incident, three employees of the company turned to doctors.
